Important information:

Please always try to send us the consignee´s name,  telephone number and nature of the commodity,  so we can let them know the charges that are going to be applied here in Panama by the vessel companies and our handling and brokerage services, previous to the shipment´s departure at origin.

The rates shown here are mostly the general going rates in the market and some are discounted.

 
OCEAN SHIPMENTS

HANDLING RATES AND VESSEL COMPANIES CHARGES

Charges Generated for releasing and transporting containers from the different Ports.

 Releasing charges for all containers charged by the Port Authorities:

Fumigation:

$ 6.00

per container

Inspection:

 25.00

per container

Security Seal:

   5.00

per container

Port Insurance:

   9.00 to 10.00

per container depending at  which port it arrives.

 These charges are paid by the consignee here.

Note:  Please note that products for human comsumption will need a Quarenteene Analisis at $7.50 per container plus the Quarenteene seal at $5.00 per container.

 

Additionally if the merchandise is going to be moved from the port to a custom´s bonded warehouse (bonded) it has to pay Ley 26 (Law 26) from $4.00 up to $23.50 + if it is determined by customs that the container has to be sent with a custom´s guard inside the truck. There will also be probable charges for warehousing.

 These charges are paid by the consignee.

Other charges applied by vessel companies:

THC charges: Ususally $184.00 per container depending on the country of origin. This is paid by the consignee directly to the vessel company.

DHC charges: $50.00. This is a new charge imposed by Maerks and Evergreen. This is paid by the consignee directly to vessel company.  

Our Handling Charges are:

LOOSE CARGO (LCL):   $ 60.00 plus the ITBM  5% tax of $ 3.00  plus the  Bill of Lading  charge which $30.00 for a Total of$93.00

FULL CONTAINERS (FLC):  $ 80.00 plus the ITBM 5% tax of $ 4.00 plus the Bill of Lading (BL) this charge changes in accordance to the charges applied to us by the vessel company they go from $50.00.  Please give us the vessel information and we can give you the correct and total handling charges.

These handling charges do not include the cost of the money order or bank transfer please make sure this is included in your charges  to the shipper. Please see the bank draft cost information.

In the USA we can send  you a check through our offices in Miami via regular mail at no cost to you unless you want the check certified, money order or via an express service.

AIR SHIPMENTS

COST FOR CLEARING AWB’S FROM THE AIRLINES

(This charge is made by the Airline)

 

If it is arriving via COPA, IBERIA, DHL or KLM the charge is

$25.00

If it is arriving via UPS (CHALLENGE), ARROW or AMERICAN AIRLINES the charge is

20.00

For all other airlines the charge is

30.00

 Please add the AIT charge of 0.01 cent per pound collected by the Airport Administration to cover their maintenance costs.
INLAND CHARGES FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY OF PANAMA

 Minimun charge is $20.00 or .04 per pound.

OUR HANDLING CHARGES:

CUSTOM'S BROKERAGE CHARGES FOR NATIONALIZING MERCHANDISE:

(FREE ZONE SHIPMENTS DO NOT REQUIRE BROKERAGE OR TAXES)

The Brokerage charges are defined by the value of the proforma invoice plus the all the freight and Insurance costs (CIF Value).

 

For merchandise with a declared value of :

 $       1.00  to  4,999.00  our brokerage charge is  $ 33.50 

    4,999.00  to  9,999.00  our brokerage charge is    54.60

 More than  9,999.00   our brokerage charge is    52.00   plus  0.15% of the CIF value (declared value of the merchandise, freight charges and insurance) multiplied by 5% (ITBM)*

Please note  that if the merchandise includes more than one commodity or different types of merchandise,  there will be an additional cost of $2.00 for each type of additional commodity. (This is  called an additional line in the brokerage form)

 

*ITBM is a service tax applied  by the government.

Please define in your quote request the declared value of the merchandise plus the nature of the commodity this way we can quote you the taxes inmediatly.
